GETTING HERE

Getting here? Easy – if traveling by plane, you can fly in to either Denver International Airport (DIA), Vail (EGE) which is actually located halfway between Eagle and Gypsum or Grand Junction. All three airports lie on Interstate 70, which is also the main Interstate artery for Breckenridge.

Once you’re on I-70, head towards Breckenridge…which basically means head to the mountains from wherever you landed. If you flew into DIA, head west. GJ or EGE? East. Get off the highway in Frisco and continue south on Highway 9 for approximately 10 miles. Take a good look around. Those mountains you see on your left and on your right? You’re gonna get to know them up close and personal. Real personal. Especially those gangsters on the left.

Once you’ve arrived in Breck – take a right at the traffic circle to stay on Highway 9 (North Park Ave.- you’ll see City Market on your left).  Pass through the intersection of Ski Hill Road – and at the next corner – take a right onto Village Road and follow the signs for Beaver Run Resort (620 Village Road, Breckenridge – Map).  Beaver Run is located at the base of Peak 9 at the Breckenridge Ski Area just a few blocks from historic Main Street.  This is the official HQ for 2015 and the location of our packet pick up, nightly meetings and hopefully – your lodging location (nice and logistically easy!).

Consider all of that text just solid state cold war analog thinking? Use THIS:

Shuttle or Car Rental?
Well, recognizing that there are few absolute truths in the world, we’ll grant that shuttling from DIA via Epic Mountain Express MIGHT be for you. But if it were us? We’d bypass the hefty passenger fee, plus the other one they’ll charge you for your bike box (each of them…BOTH ways) and rent yourself a nice white Chevy Generica from Expedia.com. A weekly rental is pretty cheap. Make sure you check with your insurance provider prior to renting – in most cases your coverage is more than adequate and you can turn down all of the add-on premiums at the counter.

Or you can get full coverage and Chris Cawley and I will go curb jumping with you after Stage 7. #BRAAP
