New for 2027 – woven laminated polypropylene bags. A “forever bag”, these are much more durable and can be used for years to haul around groceries, yoga togs, overnight gear, etc. Also? Leakproof. 

Epic’s gold-standard aid bag system. Riders are given 3 bags each at check-in. They fill each with the items they want waiting for them at the aid stations. They’re dropped with us each morning and transported to the appropriate aid station where they’re placed in color and numerical order. Race staff call out rider numbers on approach and have your bag ready for you so you can execute an F1 pitstop.

DAILY SCHEDULE

General Info

Sunday-Wednesday – all categories begin together at 8:30
Thursday – 10-person wave TT start, begins at 8:30am
Thursday and Friday – time trial start, 10-person waves organized by GC standing

Aid bags MUST BE DROPPED AT THE BEAVER RUN EVENT TENT EACH DAY BY 7:30am and then picked up every evening! Also – we require that you check in with a staffer each morning – we will have people with clipboards at the HQ/Tent for bag drop and at the start line. This is a MANDATORY check in so that we understand who does not start the race.

3 Day Epicurious Banquet  (Stages 1-3): Tuesday, Aug 11, 2026 – Fatty’s Pizzeria, 6pm, upstairs banquet room, 106 S. Ridge, Street

Stages 2-4 (Juniors & U23’s) Banquet: Wednesday, Aug 12, 6pm, location TBD

6-day, 3 Day Epicurious Stages 4-6, Mega Epic Banquet: 6:00pm, Friday, August 14th, Beaver Run Resort, Colorado Ballroom.

 

2026 Day ZERO (Saturday, August 8th): Check-in at BEAVER RUN RESORT!

NOON – check-in, load-in for campers at Steven C West Ice Arena. There is NO early check-in or parking. If you are parked in the designated camping area, you will be asked to leave until noon. PLEASE…do NOT make this an issue. These are the terms of our permit. If you violate them for your convenience, you place our ability to host camping at risk.

1PM – Epic Merchandise Store opens. Epic Athlete Village, Beaver Run Resort

2PM – Check in for registered riders. Continues until dark on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 in the Epic Athlete Village at Beaver Run Resort.

5PM – MANDATORY RIDER MEETING. This is where we talk about ALL the stuff. Think of it as a verbal owner’s manual for the race. We’ve already RSVP’d for you, so see you here.

  • Start Time:10-person TT starts based on GC standings. We’ll publish start lists on Thursday night and publish them online as well. 8:30am
  • Aid Stations: 2 (both aid stations are in same place!)
  • Bag Drop: bags must be dropped at Beaver Run by 7:30
  • 6:00PM – final banquet followed by awards. Beaver Run ballroom (follow the course signs!)
