PARTING THOUGHTS:

  • Orange Seal is brewing up espresso and “Goatheads” (goat milk lattes) at aid bag drop off.
  • Chamois Butt’r samples in tent.Grab some when you drop your bags. Also skweezy-legs. Come get skwozen after tomorrow’s race.
  • Did you make the podium? Reflect on the importance of showing up and the other competitors standing on it.
  • Somebody in Stage 3’s race field yelled at a non-competitor who was climbing her bike waaaaay off to the side on Prospect Hill Road during Stage 3 while you guys were descending it. That rider is the head of the Breckenridge Open Space and Trails Commission and has donated generously of her time to preserve, protect and expand the very trails we’re all riding on. She’s an incredibly nice human being who had just ALSO sent me an incredibly thoughtful note complimenting the event and it’s competitors. The irony is extra thick here. That behavior reflects poorly on all of us. And as a violation of Rule #1 is well outside the spirit of the race. It also makes the permitting folks think twice about allowing us back. Please…as a favor to the race; just stop.
  • Stage Recaps – going up right after this on the website.

Get some sleep!
